I really like Claire Keegan's work. Still want to read Foster - apparently the film adaptation "The Quiet Girl/An Cailin Ciuin" is very good as well. Recently read "Small Things Like These" (about the atrocities committed by the Magdalene laundries in Ireland) another short yet powerful novel in true Keegan style. This novel has recently also been adapted into film (produced by and starring Cillian Murphy).
